For a lot of guys unsure of if concealer could work for them, this week, MMUK MAN have put together a list of the common imperfections covered up with male concealer. As well as highlighting just what can be tackled with concealer for men, we'll provide our faithful with a simple how to guide, to help ensure your cover up remains completely undetected.

So, let's not waste any time and get straight down to it guys: Remember, making a success out of male makeup comes down to three things. Firstly, getting a colour that is the same, or close enough to your skin tone. Secondly, you have to choose the right cover up for your skin problems, as explained below. Finally, apply them in the right ways and you'll get a massive head start in your daily battle against confidence crippling spots, acne, dark circles and all those other nasties that may be bothering you this Halloween!

Let's start with the most common imperfection men wish to use concealer to cover up, namely spots! Whether they are pimples arising from acne conditions, or smaller red spots caused by rosacea, using a common concealer stick will do a great job at providing you with a quick bathroom fix. When dabbed on and blended in with your finger tip, or blending brush, you are quickly able to banish the appearance of them and get on with your day.

In a similar fashion, blemishes and acne scars can both be camouflaged with the same form of men’s makeup, using the same technique to blend it in. Particularly good in lighter complexions, where blemishes appear more distinct, a little touch up goes a long way in your new found pursuit of fully flawless skin.

Next, it's time for under eye concealers to take center stage, for men who constantly fight with dark circles and eye bags. Both can be quickly erased with a pen style concealer, such as MMUK MAN's Concealer Pen, or our no nonsense fast action liquid based under eye concealer. Alternatively, for a slightly lower cost option, MYEGO's cover select concealer does a great job, as you bid for fresher looking and healthier feeling peepers.

Fine lines are also something gentlemen look to correct, particularly as the years roll on. Whilst male concealer isn't a quick fix to a good quality anti-ageing skin care routine, it can provide a serious help in hand for more defined fine lines that typically arise around the outer eye and on the forehead. MMUK MAN's Concealer Trio gives great versatility in this aspect, but again, any concealer stick/pot will work well in this instance.

Finally gents, facial redness is something not uncommon amongst our clients especially. To tackle this suitably, a liquid based concealer is a very good option to take, as it will also moisturize and calm the skin underneath, whilst letting you show the world your good side.

That wraps up our list of the most common imperfections men wish to cover up. Whilst concealer sticks can be blended in, if you opt for a concealer pen, these contain an applicator brush that can be dabbed and blended in. Liquid concealer should always be applied with a good quality mineral blender brush and as for our concealer Trio and Pot's, you only really need to use your finger tip.

Remember to blend the product in around your imperfections and give it a couple of practices if you are new to the world of makeup for men. If you need any advice on choosing the right colour of concealer for you, please use our contact form and we can find the correct shade for you within four hours and that's a promise!
